Airfares, classes, tickets and such - part II

Some weeks ago in Airfares, classes, tickets and such I criticised SAS and the other big airlines from being extremely bad at things like customer service and especially the intricacies of their ticket and class system.

Well, being big mouthed I guess that I shall also write a small note to give the airlines a hand when they do a good job. And some days back SAS did.

I am going on a round-trip to Oslo, Newcastle and Stavanger in a week, with Newcastle being the main destination, but with stop-overs both in Oslo (on my way to Newcastle) and in Stavanger. When it comes to the ordinary ticket system this is as close to a nightmare as you can come. The entire roundtrip looks very much like business class, because generally only business men needs such flexibility, and well, as airlines try to keep business men on expensive tickets that is one technique to achieve that...

But luckily I am a youth in the SAS world, which makes me egible for Youth Fares, which, in general, is something like a ticket with business flexibility to the prices of a full discount ticket. Not a bad deal. :)

So, in the end, after only some 10 minutes on the phone I had my ticket, totalling in on some NOK3900, with the direct ticket TRD-NCL being NOK3400 that is actually a good price... so I am happy...
